Just a quick update….. The website in question was www.recruiters4retailers.com and it has been taken offline and reads ‘Under Construction’ when you visit.
Thanks to the many good guys who sleuthed out various aspects of this mess. It’s one thing to take every advantage to succeed in this crowded, highly competitive online space – particularly with recruiting products. But its another to mislead job seekers.
I’ve just discovered a California website that harvests our retail postings, shows job seekers a part of the posting but the job seeker must pay for a ‘subcription’ to the website if they want the details on how to apply for the job. Do you think our clients had that in mind when they purchased postings on our website? And yet the website claims all other job boards have got it wrong. Not everyone employer can pay, therefore the job seekers should??? Sheesh. Get out the white charger! Brenda (and our legal team) to the rescue again!
